NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM // MONTE CARLO // MAC DUPE

The packaging makes you think it's a lipgloss and in my honest opinion my first thought was NOOOOO I hate Lipglosses and I knew I wouldn't be giving a very good review on the product as I'm a lipstick person. BUT.. a very big BUT, I read what it said on the tube and it's called a Soft matte lip cream. Reading that I thought well this is something new and different. A lipgloss that sets as a soft matte isn't something i have ever tried before.

As some of you may know we are having our own NYX Store opening in Sliema (NYX Malta Facebook Page) within a month or so and 10 of us Bloggers or so got the chance to be Product Testers and seeing my name first on the list gave me this "happy feeling" inside. We got sent a little goodie bag and these are my first products ever by NYX so testing them out before a review is a must. I was indeed very happy to see a Red lip product as I recently found the love for red lips again and having another red product that isn't my usual pink or coral help me change up my look more.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo £5.00/€5.90* It states that it's not a lipstick nor is it gloss. It's like nothing you've ever experienced before. It's lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte. The packaging can put any Lipstick Person off as we would think it's a gloss and would just ignore it. It does have a doe foot applicator as a gloss would do and I have found it to work amazingly to outline my lips especially with this Cherry Red Colour. With that all being said I have been using this all weekend to work, out and even at home and the lasting power isn't that bad at all considering. It does last quite awhile between 2-4 hours. The only funny thing about it is that if you drink or eat, the lip area tends to fade so touching up after you eat is a must unless you want to look like you have two-toned lips.

I have been on the UK Website and noticed there are quite some eye-catching colours especially the pinks which i am very interested in. If you are a pink person like me, I'd recommend the colours : Antwerp, Istanbul, Milan and Addis Ababa

DUPE ALERT: This colour looks very familiar to the MAC Russian Red or Ruby Woo so if you can't afford the price of a MAC Lipstick Why not try a NYX Lip Cream as they are Matte and pretty much identical and for 1/3 of the price which is a steal!

WOULD YOU BLAH BLAH?
